I’m an editor and reporter with 15 years of experience in production, storytelling and journalism. These days I specialize in creating narrative, investigative and serialized podcasts.
As managing editor at Pushkin Industries I collaborate closely with hosts and producers to make shows such as Deep Cover hosted by Jake Halpern, Revisionist History hosted by Malcolm Gladwell and Hot Money, an investigative series produced in partnership with The Financial Times.
In my own reporting I’ve focused on complex health stories for public radio stations. My WNYC series, Imminent Danger: One Doctor and a Trail of Injured Women, delved deeply into patient safety and medical licensing. It received an Edward R. Murrow award, the Stephen B. Shepard Prize for Investigative Reporting as well as awards from the New York Press Club, the Association of Health Care Journalists and the Newswomen’s Club of New York.
My WXXI podcast, Exited, followed eight young adults with disabilities as they left school systems and navigated a moment often referred to as “the cliff.” The series was recognized with awards from the Associated Press, the Public Media Journalists Association and others.
I love teaching too. I’ve taught audio journalism courses and workshops at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism and I run a monthly training series at Pushkin.
Before working in audio, I produced television programs and documentary films for several years.
